Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: Draft Toolkit for Money Management and Client Assistance Tools
Posted by Alexandra Kielty - On May 06, 2014 (EST)
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has developed an on-line tool for money management with clients and they would appreciate feedback on this resource.
Last year, CFPB developed Your Money, Your Goals: A Financial Empowerment Toolkit for Social Services. The work began with a scan of existing programs and culminated with a field test in which local organizations trained 1,400 frontline social services staff on the toolkit.
CFPB is designing the modular toolkit to give case managers and other staff easy access to a wide range of basic money management information and tools. In addition to information for staff on how and when to introduce the materials, it will include a client assessment that equips users to identify the topics most relevant and timely for their individual clients.
The CFPB is requesting input from stakeholders on use of this draft tool, including features you would like to see features you’d like to see in an online, interactive toolkit. Let CFPB know at Empowerment@cfpb.gov.
