Webinar: Women and the Americans with Disabilities Act

The U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Women's Bureau is hosting this webinar on Tuesday, July 28th from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm, EST.

Information on DOL's current efforts to address issues affecting women with disabilities related to employment will be shared. Presenters will also look back on the ADA’s effect on women in the workplace, including pregnant women and new mothers, women with caregiving responsibilities for family members with disabilities, and women who have survived domestic or sexual violence. Lastly, there will be discussion of new research from UC Berkeley on the intersection of disability and domestic violence services for womenThe focus will be on the effects of the ADA on women in respect to pregnancy accommodations, domestic violence, and employment.
